Gaps in Current Practice:

Student support centers and college disability offices need to be more proactive in helping students attain success in college.
• College students may have neurodevelopmental weaknesses which do not fit a particular diagnosis of disability, but may render them unable to be successful without support.

• College students with problems with performance such as ADHD are not getting the ongoing coaching they need for input attention, organization, mental energy and work output.

• College students often find it difficult to advocate for their learning needs when disability staff, student support centers and professors are unaware of the latest brain research, teaching strategies, personalized learning solutions and new technology that promote student success.
